I’m a freelance photographer, who is fascinated by beautiful flowers and gardens, urban life, landscapes, nature and travel.  To me photography is a way of feeling, of seeing, of touching reality.  What one has caught on a digital format is captured forever.   It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.  The picture that is taken with your camera is the imagination you want to create with reality.  I find photography is just like any creative endeavor.  It has the power to uplift others.

 Currently I’m a member of the National Press Photographer’s Association, WA Press Pass: Association for Garden Communicators, and American Horticultural Society.  I'm also a member of Longwood Gardens, Hillwood Estate and Garden, and Dumbarton Oaks Garden 

Living in Washington, DC gives me a wide range of opportunities for interesting urban life as well as scenic locations for my photography. My photography has been published in the Panda International Calendar, 2018; the Washington Post, Capital Weather Gang 2018 - 2020; Vosoba/Orti Wedding 2015; Sahara Dance Portraits, 2013;  NY Times – Why We Travel:  curated selection, 2011;  Oberon's Grove Blog, Take Dance, Cherry Blossom Festival 2011; Jacob/Bittle Wedding 2010;  National Geographic’s Daily Dozen, 2009; Animoto video of Rolling Thunder, 2009; I also designed the website for Chichie’s Grooming Spa, 2009, and have gifted and sold many photographs. 

It was a honor to serve on a juried panel for the Great Falls, VA, Garden Club Standard Flower Show, Division III, Botanical Arts, Section B, Photography classes 2-5, May 2018.
